Admission

Throughout the year we have a number of Open Houses and special events that provide excellent opportunities for families to discover Progressive Academy. For a complete understanding of how we may meet the needs of your family we are happy to arrange a personal tour so that all of your questions can be answered.

Applications for all grades should be prior to April 30th for the following school year. We do however accept applications at any time, placement being dependent upon openings available. Progressive Academy works hard to create a safe, enriched environment for our students. Therefore, applicants that apply after the start of the school year may be asked to first complete an introductory trial at the school to ensure that the school is “a good fit.”

Please call our admissions office to receive a full application package or to arrange an appointment for interview. Each new applicant is required to have a school tour, informal interview and an entrance assessment appropriate to age and grade level. We reserve the right to request a copy of the current and previous year report cards.

Tuition

Full time tuition fees for the 2012 – 2013 school year are as follows:

Junior Kindergarten $8600.00
Senior Kindergarten $7200.00
Grades 1 – 6 $7400.00
Grades 7 – 12 $7600.00

Progressive Academy only offers a full time Junior and Senior Kindergarten schedule.

A non-refundable application fee must accompany every application as follows:
Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 $250.00
Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 One month Tuition

Scholarships and Bursaries

Progressive Academy does offer a limited number of scholarships and bursaries each school year. These awards cover school tuition costs only. Scholarship and Bursary applications must be submitted by the end of June for the following school year. Please contact the school for Scholarship and Bursary forms and requirements.

International Students

Progressive Academy does accept a limited number of International Students each year, providing they are reasonably fluent in English. International Students must complete an international application form, enrollment agreement, a letter from the student stating what is important to them about studying in Canada and at Progressive Academy in particular, as well as submit a minimum of one letter of reference from someone other than a family member, and a copy of report cards. Report cards must be translated into English. Progressive Academy charges a yearly international student fee, plus registration. Any ESL classes or tutoring that a student requires is an additional charge. We do not have any boarding facilities.
