Progressive Academy’s annual Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten Spring Tea will be held Thursday, May 17th at 2:30pm in the Gym. All current and new families are invited for an lively afternoon of tea and performances from the Junior and Senior Kindergarten classes. Always an engaging afternoon that is not to be missed. Each class has been working on a unique song or dramatic performance that not only showcases their talent, but their absolute delight in learning.

The Kindergarten to Grade 6 classes invite you to an amazing production of Annie Jr.
Two performances will be held in the gym; there is a matinee performance on Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at 2:00pm, and an evening performance on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 6:00pm. The performances are open for everyone to attend, but you are asked to RSVP the school for the day(s) you wish to attend and the number of guests you will be bringing.

Thursday, September 22nd at 7pm we will be holding two parent workshops. The Junior Kindergarten to Grade 1 workshop will cover Literacy, Jolly Phonics, and Study Skills. What, how and why we do things in the classroom and how parents can support at home.This workshop will be held in the gym.
The Grade 2 to Grade 12 workshop will cover Study Skills and the importance of learning HOW to study and applying what you have learned.This workshop will be held in the auditorium.
All workshops are free for our parents, and guests are welcome to attend.

The end of the year is quickly approaching and students are gearing up (not down) in order to sprint to the finish line with the best possible educational results. Visit any of our classes and you will see students busily at work improving their writing skills, solving complicated mathematics problems, or sharing what they have discovered in a good book or a research project.
On Thursday, June 16th at 6 pm we are looking forward to meeting with the students’ families and friends to celebrate a successful year of learning for our Kindergarten to Grade 11 students. While we don’t have any Grade 12 graduates this year, each of our students is graduating with new abilities and skills and we are looking forward to sharing with you a major accomplishment of each of our students.
