Music Lessons

As a recent article from the Globe and Mail says: “Music is an essential part of a child’s cognitive development.” Reinette Schabert has been teaching piano for ten years. The past four years have been at Progressive Academy after getting her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in 2013. She has continued to gain momentum in her program over that period. The 2017-2018 year will again include a choice of a variety of instruments, as well as a variety of instructors chosen and interviewed by Reinette. Please fill in the corresponding form of the instrument you are interested in for your child. A student may join the program at any point in the year, however, the program is filled on a first-come first-serve basis. Once the form has been sent in to secure their spot, Reinette will contact you with information regarding your child’s instructor and the info-session date. The info-sessions will be held either August 23rd, 24th, or 25th in the evening. The info-sessions will be a chance for you to meet your child’s instructor, ask any questions, and be informed of expectations. The info-sessions are also open to families not yet enrolled in the Private Music Lesson program, or who would like to know more information before signing up. Reinette will answer any questions, expectations and policies not addressed in the FAQ page. She looks forward to hearing from you!
