Progressive Academy’s education is based on the premise that each child is excited about learning and wants to help make the world a better place. Achievement of the Alberta Education curriculum expectations is a result of the student’s pursuit of knowledge and desire to be an active part of our world.

Children learn at different rates, their interests are diverse and their abilities limitless. We recognize these factors in our programs and with the flexibility and creativity of our amazing teaching team it is quite common for students to move through the grades at an irregular pace. Perhaps your child excels in mathematics, and so can move forward in that subject. If more intense work is needed to improve literacy, then arrangements for this will be made. Students do not just move through the grades year by year, they are expected to demonstrate competence in the skills required. All of our teachers will speak honestly with parents about their children’s strengths and weaknesses. Together teachers, student and parents find practical solutions to achieve excellent results.
